Here is a very simple guide to find your console ID, which can be used to resign save games or other nefarious tasks.
Tools required:
Privoxy - Home Page
Wireshark · Download
Step 1: Start by downloading and installing the tools required.
Step 2: Find your local IP address for your ethernet/wireless adapter by running a command prompt and typing ipconfig.
Step 3: In privoxy, open options and click edit main configuration.
Step 4: Change listen-address from 127.0.0.1 to the pc ip from command prompt, save config and restart privoxy.
Step 5: On the PS3, set the proxy server to the settings listed in the listen-address of privoxy (pc ip address port 8118).
Step 6: Back on PC, run wireshark and select your ethernet/wireless adapter to capture. Start capturing data.
Step 7: On PS3, connect to the PS Store while wireshark is running.
Step 8: Using wireshark, press Ctrl+f and search for 0000000100, select string, and select packet bytes searching for ASCII unicode & Non-unicode.
Step 9: Click find and you should see a 32 byte code containing the first 10 bytes you searched for.
Here you have found your Console ID so have fun resigning games or whatever you need it for 🙂
