Yep, that's exactly what its supposed to do.

Although, you can technically just highlight a part of text on any post and it will give you the option to quote that text

Exactly that, hit reply and it quotes it for you 😛 Multi-quote would be pretty handy though. I just hit reply on whatever to 'multi-quote'.
