I don't really agree with this. The user shouldn't be forced to sign up.

No One is forcing the person to sign up its there choice if they want to sign up and see whats behind the link they can or miss out whats behind the link without signing up

I dont agree with this. There is a better way to keep non-members from downloading files on all forums. All the admins or mods need to do is make the section closed from everyone but members. This way they will sign up to see the post. No forcing or hiding the links.

Or you can make the guest not see some sections. Sometimes you will find them in the cod section looking for lobbies to join and not joining the site.

Or Do That its pretty easy right? Just make sure guests/unregistered people cant view the threads by changing the Node permission and view thread to never or revoke
