VIRTUAL LOBBY:
Advanced Warfare introduces a new change to Call of Duty’s lobby for the first time. The new virtual lobby lets you see all the players in the lobby’s stats, XP progression, supply drop gains, character look, gear and so much more.
Advanced Warfare transforms the lobby experience for the first time in Call of Duty, providing the personalized true, virtual showcase called the Virtual Lobby. This is where all of a player’s hard work, both XP Progression and Supply Drop rewards are paid-off for all to see. In the Virtual Lobby you can quickly and easily see everyone’s character in all its glory. Just slide over and look at each character in detail. With their loadouts. With their customization options. Advanced Warfare features the return on Black Ops 2’s Scorestreak system. The scorestreak system is Advanced Warfare’s take on killstreaks. Scorestreaks are earned through score; each streak has a certain score you need to get to unlock access to the streak. With the pick 13 system, you can have different scorestreaks per class, choose up to four streaks per class, and more. In Advanced Warfare, Sledgehammer Games is introducing new customizable scorestreaks. Every scorestreak can be customized to gain more abilities, depending on what you want; but at a cost. To add more features to a streak, you increase the score you need to unlock it.
The game also introduces Co-Op Scorestreaks, which for the first time, two players can now join up a scorestreak and work together. This is the perfect example of teamwork for those players that rack up score, with those that may not always get the chance to experience the high-end scorestreaks. Teaming up on a Warbird is a perfect way to gain the advantage on the battlefield.
With the brand new Exoskeleton in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, Sledgehammer Games has changed the player movement in Call of Duty MP. There’s new ways to get around each map, and the new jumps allows for more verticality in maps.
- Boost Jump – allows you to jump higher, which adds more verticality to the MP maps in Call of Duty. To boost jump, you just double tap the jump button and it’ll boost jump you.
- Boost Doge – allows you to dodge laterally in either direction to get to cover faster or to reach a certain enemy who’s moved to your sides.
- Boost Dash – lets you dash in any direction while you’re in air.
- Boost Slam – a new way to melee enemies. You can slam down on a location where an enemy is to take them out in an instant.
Advanced Warfare MP introduces the brand new Virtual Firing Range. This allows you to test your classes before entering a match. To enter the firing range, just press one button in the Create an Operator menu or in between matches and you’re taken directly to it – there’s no map load screen.
An all-new feature, and a first for Call of Duty. From the Create-a-Class menu or between matches, players can instantly hit the Virtual Firing Range to try out a new item with just a press of the button. No map load, no having to blindly go into a match with a new loadout. Now, players can get an immediate feel for things like the sights, attachments, bullet spread, recoil, and more before the next match even starts. It’s a great way to test-drive a new weapon before heading into battle.
A whole new loot system is coming to Call of Duty. Sledgehammer Games is bringing a new system called Supply Drops, which will allow players to unlock content. You earn supply drops through XP, play time, and in game challenges. Supply Drops offers new designs to weapons, new gear, and so much more.
In Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare customization begins with Supply Drops, which is loot Call of Duty style, bringing a new reward system of more than 1,000 rewards into multiplayer. Supply Drops reward you with items, including Custom Weapons, Character Gear and Reinforcements. And these rewards come in three rarities – Enlisted, Professional, and Elite.
- Custom Weapons: Attribute and cosmetic modifications on base weapons make up the nearly 350 custom weapon options that you can get from supply drops. These new modifications allow a greater range of customization to find the perfect weapon for individual play styles in addition to having a great look.
- Gear: Supply drops can also feature gear that allows you to customize your operator for the virtual lobby and in-game. The wide variety of cosmetic customization that players can get through gear will allow everyone on the field to know who you are.
- Reinforcements: Players can also be rewarded with one-time-use items that are activated during the match at pre-determined intervals, including perks and low-level scorestreaks. These are great for a one-time trial and burst of added excitement in match. And, like all Supply Drop rewards, Reinforcements come in the three rarity classes – Enlisted, Profession, and Elite.
- Atlas Gorge (with Collector’s Edition) – Atlas Gorge re-envisions the fan-favorite Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare map Pipeline. The Atlas Corporation has commandeered the world’s largest power source, the Three Gorges Dam in central China, whose sinister backdrop creates a gripping setting for multiplayer battle. Combatants will navigate the shadows, explore the map’s new verticality empowered by exoskeleton technology, and control a map-based turret scorestreak that overlooks the dam and helps to keep enemies at bay.
- Riot – Set in a bombed out prison after a devastating riot, this penitentiary still has some defense mechanisms active. Crafted to utilize a classic 3-lane approach, this map offers two large open areas on both sides of the map along with a large cell block right in the center for an all-comers shoot-out that thrusts players right into the action.
- BioLab – Part of a snowy secret base, this map features both close quarters indoor combat along with long range outdoor terrain with added verticality for quick and fast-paced action. Use your Exo boost to take the action to the rooftops.
- Ascend – Taking place in a futuristic Space Elevator terminal, this location features a map-based score streak that allows players to call in the turret defenses. Ascend also was designed with clean 3-Lane format and a verticality that is tailor made for exoskeleton abilities.
- Defender - In the shadow of the Golden Gate Bridge, an abandoned bunker that’s features open gameplay and is a perfect showcase for the new exoskeleton abilities. An added aspect to this map is the dynamic event. A tsunami hits with strategic regularity and changes a good portion of the map.

The more wins you earn in that mode, the more capture points you get in the clan war node. More details to come closer to launch.
Here are some of the features that Sledgehammer Games has confirmed thus far for eSports:
- Hardpoint and Capture the Flag
- Round-based Domination
- Broadcaster Mode now features an expanded Oracle mode

Sledgehammer Games and Activision have announced the Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare DLC Season Pass.
The Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Season Pass is your access to four action-packed DLC Packs, for one great price.
The DLC Season Pass costs $49.99 and is available for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3, and PC. If you buy the Season Pass for a current generation console, then you’ll be able to upgrade to the next-generation console Season Pass (within the console family). Preorder now:
- XBOX ONE
- PLAYSTATION 4 (if you buy a Season Pass for PS3, and then buy a PS4, do not buy another season pass for PS4)
- XBOX 360
- PLAYSTATION 3 (your season pass will transfer to PS4, if you do buy the new system)
- PC
- Hit markers – there’s two types of hit markers. When you kill an enemy, you get a single hit marker confirming the kill. When you get a headshot, you get a double hit marker to identify that you have a headshot kill.
- You can actually equip two scorestreaks that have the same point value because of the new customizable scorestreaks. Customizing them allows you to add additional features to a scorestreak, but adding the features increases the points you need to get that streak. You can get all streaks at the same time, if they’re all customized to the same point value.
- When aiming down sights, when you aim at an enemy, your site will highlight red; when you aim down at a friendly it will light up blue.
- A big change for Call of Duty: There’s NO fall damage in Advanced Warfare MP. With the implementation of the exo types of jumps, there won’t be any issue where your character can fall to death (unless they fall of the map itself).
- For round ending cams, if you’re playing an objective mode, at the end it will show which player completed the objective to win the game; it won’t show the ending kill. “Gaming winning score”
- Melee system is very similar to Black Ops 2, hard to hit someone who isn’t at a close distance.
- It is possible to survive a melee attack if you have the Exo Stim ability active.
- Snipers with iron sights are returning in Advanced Warfare.
- Combat Record from Black Ops is returning in Advanced Warfare
- C4s are not returning
