i was trying to edit one of my post but you can only edit the title or is there a full editor that i have missed
if not could there be a bit more access to your own posts for editing

There is "Edit" at the bottom of your post, should be on the left. It allows you to edit the title and gives you the full editor for the thread. Can't miss it.
